He is a registered company auditor and is Managing Partner of Abas & Co., Chartered Accountants and a Founder of Azlan & Co., Chartered Accountants.

Dato Richard has a long history of accounting, auditing, corporate finance, venture capital, start ups, technology and management.

He is currently Asian council member of Chartered Accountants Australia New Zealand. He is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
